Antoine, 18 years old, a running lover, suffers from cystic fibrosis. At the hospital, he meets Juliette, a sour old woman who is staying in the room next door. They have nothing in common yet they decide to escape from the hospital together.

Jérôme Roumagne, 23 years old, is originally from New Caledonia. Passionate about cinema, he decides to leave his family and his native island for Paris. The young man studies cinema at the Institut International de l’Image et du Son (3iS) in directing. It’s within the school that he befriends Marie Delsart, with whom he shares the will to address cystic fibrosis and generational conflict which will become the short-film « Breath ». With they script, the two students succeed in convincing the great theater actress Marthe Villalonga and the talented Victor Meutelet to play the lead roles in their film. Since graduation, the young director works as third director’s assistant on French features and is planning a new short-film.
