Charline Mignot was born in Switzerland in the early 90s. Since childhood, the young woman has developed a very personal point of view on the world around her. The result is a burning desire to express herself, which leads her naturally to photography. She moved to Lyon to continue her studies.
Her culture of aesthetics brought her closer to the world of fashion and her appetite for “always more” lead her to write the lyrics of a song in order to put one of her shootings to music. This is how the song Est-ce que tu t’en souviens ? was born. The signature style of the artist is already strongly felt and will be identified by the Face Profile Label. This meeting gives a completely different twist to the project that takes the name of Vendredi sur mer.
This first step was followed by the release of the first single entitled Mort-Fine produced by Leo Becerra member of Bleu Toucan group, also signed on the same label. In 2016, the second single La femme à la peau bleue, on which the talented Lewis Ofman imposes its so singular touch, gives a real momentum to the project and helped Vendredi sur mer to be known by the general public and the world of fashion.
The brand Sonia Rykiel used this piece to musically dress the tribute fashion show to its founder, recently disappeared, during the Fashion Week of 2017. After having released three titles in three years, the craze around Charline Mignot’s project kept on growing and Vendredi sur mer has now released its first EP, Marée basse.
