Matthieu Vigneau was born in 1990 in Angers in the department of Maine-et-Loire (France). Graduated as a projectionist, he spends his time in the movie theatres. Passionate about sound and image techniques, in music and cinema, he directed his first short film as a self-taught man, Jason Krist, in 2015. In Jason Krist, Matthieu Vigneau plays the main character and worked in every stages, from the script to the original soundtrack. Jason Krist was selected in national competition at Clermont-Ferrand Film Festival in 2016. The same year Matthieu Vigneau directed his second short film, En cordée, selected again in national competition at Clermont-Ferrand Film Festival in 2017 where he was awarded the SACEM Prize of the best original soundtrack.
