Jim Cummings is an independent filmmaker, writer and director who strives to find new ways to connect with audiences. He is very invested in the future of independent film. He was a mentor with the Sundance Institute's Collab and founded the Short to Feature Lab. Since 2014, he has been speaking during various events like South By Southwest and writing about the state of independent film and its future.

After Thunder Road in 2018 (which received the Grand Prix at the Deauville Film Festival and was a great critical and public success), The Beta Test is his second feature film released in France.
