Mimi’s not a star, she’s just somebody. I wanted to make a film on Mimi’s life. On somebody’s life, then. To get a close as possible to that singularity in order to meet the romanticism of a real life. I was about to discover it by filming it. There, in her city of Nice, or in the mountains, depending on known or unknown places where I filmed her, I waited for her story, which I didn’t know yet, to come back to her so that she could tell me about the scenes that make up her personal novel.
