Frankie, a clueless teenager living on the outskirts of Brooklyn, is having a terrible summer. Between his dying father and his mother's insistence that he find a girlfriend, he tries to escape the desolation of family life by hanging out at the beach with his group of friends. Out of conformity he starts a relationship with a girl his own age, but also secretly flirts with older men on the internet. On the verge of taking the plunge, Frankie struggles to reconcile his conflicting desires.
