ABOUT THE DIRECTOR
Simon Rieth was born in Paris in 1995 and grew up in Montpellier. At only 28, he has already directed 7 short films including Saint Jean (2017) and Diminishing Shine (2018), which have been selected and awarded in many festivals including the BFI Future Film Festival, Beijing IFF, MECAL and FIFIB. His first feature, Nos Cérémonies (Summer Scars), produced by Les Films du Poisson, had its world premiere in competition in Cannes at the Semaine de la Critique in 2022. It won the Grand Prix at Neuchâtel, Silver at BIFFF and Best Film in Rome and was released in France in May 2023. Simon is currently preparing his 2nd feature and a TV series.
